Colin Barrett "Consultant Clerk of Works Providing independent third party inspections to protect the client’s interests."
At Site Seen Inspections we have gained valuable experience and expertise over many years, which enables us to offer you the peace of mind that an inspection by a chartered industry professional will provide.
Independent Site Inspections
Carrying out site inspections to monitor standards of quality, finished workmanship and compliance of the works. Reporting and recording key stages thought out the build process.
Passive fire protection inspections (PFPI)
independent inspection services for passive fire protection across all sectors providing a detailed survey and report.
A passive fire protection survey can form part of, or is an extension to, a fire risk assessment required to comply with fire safety legislation. Passive fire protection features restrict the spread of fire and smoke through the flammability of linings, compartmentation of the building and protection of the structural integrity of the building.
Our specialist fire protection Clerk of Works will conduct surveys to ensure adequate protection is in place to allow for an effective evacuation of the property. Each report is tailored to the client and considerations would be made for all passive fire protection to include
Wall lining material
Compartmentation of fire resistant walls, ceilings and floors.
Commercial and Residential properties can have defect inspections carried out at any point in the build process or retrospectively during the life of the property i.e. for defects associated with historical damp / water ingress / subsidence.
New build snagging and de-snagging
At SiteSeen Inspections we have gained valuable experience and expertise over many years which enables us to offer you the peace of mind that an inspection by a chartered industry professional will provide.
With our core values, dedication to standards and detail we can always offer our clients a first-class service with a quick and convenient process which gets the results to you within a short period of time.
To make it easy for your builder to locate and identify areas that require attention, our inspections will be detailed and
thorough producing a full report which includes photos and a full description of any issues found.
Snagging surveys are designed to ensure, even in a new build, that any problems are identified at the earliest opportunity and corrected by the developer, ideally prior to you moving into your new home.
Traditional house surveys will not achieve the in-depth checks of a full snagging survey, these are designed to pick up not only minor issues such as door alignment problems but will identify more serious defects.
When should I have my inspection done?
Prior to legal completion is the ideal time. That way the builder has the time and opportunity to put right any snags before you move in. If that is not possible, try and complete as soon as possible after completion.
Our snagging inspection will include but is not limited to:
Windows and doors
Plasterboard finishes to walls and ceilings
Appliances and heating
Bathrooms and WC
Radiators and fire places
Outside of home all externals
